joy in the journey.

Yesterday I had the wonderful opportunity  to go hang out at Junior Miss (Distinguished Young Women) week with my darling friend Lauren Jones! Lauren is the cutest. Seriously. It was so much fun to catch up with her and talk about everything that is going on in our lives right now!

One thing we discussed on our drive from Provo to Trolley Square is our fault of always worrying about the future. I don't think it's uncommon to wonder about the boy I will spend the rest of my life with, or if I will serve a mission, or what degree I will actually choose, or what experiences lie ahead. But I need to appreciate the moments day to day, and not always be concerned about what the future will hold. I know that as long as I am doing what I know is right, I will be happy in the end!

"Focus on the journey, not the destination. Joy is found not in finishing an activity, but in doing it."

I'm sure I will long for the days as a single college student, where I was independent, living with my best friends, and just focused on growing as an individual. When I was little, college seemed like such a foreign thing; something that would never actually come true! But here I am, six weeks shy of completing my first year at BYU. WHAT! Amazing. Go life.

Now some memories from one of the best weeks of my life...

I truly attribute most of the amazing opportunities I have now to Junior Miss :)
