I am a very very happy girl! If you know me, you know that I love Barbara Barrington Jones.

I talked about her here.

Every year, she does a self esteem camp for young teenage girls for a week during July. I knew from the moment she talked about it at Junior Miss last March that I wanted to apply to be a counselor!

Last Saturday I had my interview with Barbara. It was amazing!

Talking to this woman was like talking to a a very close friend :)

She asked me about school, what I am studying, and what I hope to accomplish in my life.

When I told her that I am studying public relations at BYU, and want to work for a non-profit organization like Junior Miss or Miss Utah, she said, "Well, what about MY non-profit organization?"

I died.

Not really.

But I hoped she was serious.

We were both laughing and talking about the possibility of me doing an internship with her for the summer, working to reach out to the online community through facebook, twitter, her blog, etc.

We finished with the interview, and I left feeling excited and happy for the future.

Monday morning, she called me and asked if I would like to accept the position of an intern for the summer, as well as a counselor for a week in July.

I know this will be an amazing opportunity for me to grow and work hard. I feel so blessed! It is amazing to see the direction my life is going. I never dreamed about all of the incredible experiences I would be fortunate to have.
