An average evening at the Hyde household

Last night my family was enjoying Sunday dinner together, and the following conversation took place.

(Talking about an embarrassing cooking story of mine)

Dad: "Chloe, I haven't told that story to any of your dates since you were dating Taylor. You haven't even had any dates this summer for me to tell!"

Me: "Thanks Dad. Please, rub it in."

Mama Ging: "That's a good thing! Haven't you had a good summer with girls' nights?"

Me: "Yes, Mom. Lots and lots of girls' nights."

Mama Ging: "Well that's good! If you don't date you can take more classes at school."

Me: "Mom, I feel like you are legitimately concerned that I am going to meet someone at school and get married this year..."

Mama Ging: "Chloe, you are 19, and if you get married to the right person in the right place at the right time I will be happy!"

Me: "Well, thanks Mom."

Alec: "If he's an idiot, I'll kill him!"

Just your average friendly dinner conversation... no big deal. 

Disclaimer: I am super content with my life right now! My dating life (or lack thereof) has been a blessing with how busy I have been. And, I did go on some dates this summer. I could count all of them on one hand, but- that's not important :) Come what may and love it! One week until school starts!
